REHAB CENTRE OF ONE OF THE LARGEST HOSPITALS IN THE NETHERLANDS JOINS THE HUR SMARTTOUCH FAMILY
HUR launched the brand new line of computerized strength training equipment and software in Europe in November last year - the HUR SmartTouch. The system received instantly positive attention and has already been installed or is about to be taken in to use by several organizations in Europe.
One of the first members to join the HUR SmartTouch family is Dutch UMCG, The University Medical Center Groningen. UMCG was established in 2005 as a joint activity of the University of Groningen and the Academic Hospital Groningen (AZG). At present, the UMCG is one of the largest hospitals in the Netherlands and the largest employer in the Northern Netherlands. The way to HUR
UMCG’s rehab center has several exercise areas with high tech training equipment. In almost all areas they work with air pressure equipment, but their desire was to do more with integrated software to enable more sophisticated monitoring and evidence-based training. In line with the principal of testing – training – testing, more information about diagnoses and analysis is required. After a presentation about HUR and the HUR SmartTouch the rehab center became enthusiastic. The system provides a lot of information about different programs and diagnoses. For cardio Scifit products with HUR compatibility were chosen. The project was done in co-operation with HUR representative in Holland, Wilco Nammensma, Harting-Bank.
