Since 1989 HUR has been dedicated to providing the best solutions for strength training and rehabilitation. As a company we have set out to be a part of the fight against many public health conditions that are largely derived from people being too weak or inactive. 

The story of HUR began as a research project at the Helsinki University of Technology, and the result was ergonomic strength training equipment with air pressure technology. Ever since the birth of HUR the company has maintained close ties to the research community to be able to provide the best solutions for Active Ageing, Rehabilitation and Inclusive wellness.

The need for and use of data within exercise and rehabilitation has increased immensely in recent years. HUR recognized this early and a lot of the development has been put into computerized exercise. For over 12 years we have been offering our customers the highly appreciated SmartCard system for evidence-based exercise within clinics and wellness centres. From that legacy, the 4th generation of HUR computerized exercise systems, the HUR SmartTouch, was born. This cloud based solution promises to bring even more operational benefits for the facility, simplify the instructor’s work and provide an enhanced training experience for the users or patients.

HUR provides the most advanced exercise equipment technology available today. And this is the culmination of 25 years of close cooperation with leading researchers in biomechanics and exercise physiology. The computerized air pressure equipment is especially designed to meet the needs of rehabilitation, senior exercise and 40+ wellness users, who are the preferred customers of today’s fitness industry.
